Synopsys Outlines Future Vision Of AI-Driven Chip Design At Hot Chips

This year, Hot Chips was opened with a keynote presentation by Aart de Geus, Synopsys Chairman and co-CEO, and what he revealed could have significant, lasting implications on chip design moving forward. In essence, Synopsys’ latest AI-driven design tools have moved beyond assisting with place-and-route, to now aiding in some aspects of architectural design and software optimization.
