Qualcomm’s Edge-To-Cloud AI Strategy Is A Credible Market-Mover
Qualcomm has been working for years to broaden how investors view the company, via an aggressive revenue diversification strategy, and lately the market appears willing to listen. The recent run-up in QCOM shares seems tied to a wider reassessment of its growth story, with Automotive, IoT, AI PCs and more recently data center AI giving investors more to consider beyond traditional handset cycles.
Historically, Qualcomm has been viewed partially through the lens of smartphones, licensing and Apple modem risk. Those are still important factors, and they are not going away. However, the market appears to be giving Qualcomm more credit for its broader silicon strategy that now stretches from the connected intelligent edge to cloud AI infrastructure.
