Kioxia Unveils First E3 Enterprise SSD For A Path To PCIe 5 Speeds

Flash memory giant Kioxia announced today that it has successfully demonstrated the first server lab test of a new Solid State Drive (SSD) form factor that’s design to increase storage density and performance per square millimeter of rack space. Kioxia has showcased Enterprise and Datacenter SSD Form Factor (EDSFF) version E3 drives that are being developed for SSD storage servers and All-Flash Array (AFA) servers for cloud datacenter and enterprise deployments.
